What is this about CPS patrolling the streets at night trying to get the 2 girls to get in the car with them? Am I supposed to tell my daughters that if the dude says he is from CPS and flashes his badge they should jump in? This is a truly strange story. Am I the only one that feels like we are not getting the full story?

How did the story go from 2 guys in a maroon car to 1 guy in a green car?

I believe that the full story had some things missing. I read another article that said the two from CPS observed the two young girls walking in the roadway and pulled up close to them to advise them that it was not safe walking in the roadway. They were not investigating anything with them but were just asking them to not walk in the street. My concern now is why did the two young girls get into a car with two other people they did not know. Why did the couple ask the two girls if they did not know them to get into the car? I know they were concerned about the safety of the children but they were also strangers to the children. Should they have called the police instead?

It seems to me that the girls must have been pretty frightened by the 1 or 2 guys to get into the car with the couple. I don't think telling 2 girls that they shouldn't be out so late is enough to scare them into another car with different strangers. I just don't get all the different stories. Maroon car VS green car, CPS VS DCS, 1 guy VS 2 guys. What is up with that? Why is the one guy saying it was just him in a green car when the couple and the girls are saying it was 2 guys in a maroon car who identified themselves as CPS officers, when they should have said they were DCS officers? I'm telling you, something smells here. Where is the Dark Night when we need him?

Ok I thought it was just me being paranoid when I heard the "real" story about this. Yes, something is certainly not right about the whole thing. Someone needs to get to the bottom of it BEFORE a child does get abducted by this supposed CPS worker. Hmmmm...

THANK YOU Ebbie, until you responded, I though I was the only one wondering about this. I also noticed that this story had the lifetime of a fruit fly. Why doesn't someone come out and say "OK, here is exactly what happened", then tell us what really transpired? I wonder if anyone from anywhere has talked to either of the girls? Since they are minors does that mean no one can talk to them?

What about the first time this occured in Waterloo? The girl was actually grabbed from behind and thrown into the car? She actually kicked her way out of the car and ran to the police station? This certainly wasn't a CPS officer!

Don't forget, 3 hours before the girl was grabbed in Waterloo, the police were called about someone in a marooned car, talking to 2 young girls in Garrett.
