I can certainly relate to our President's displeasure. I also feel for the citizens of NYC. Hopefully, someone explains the need to keep ALL the officials informed when something of this nature will be occurring in the future.

The chain of information is only one issue here. Who thought this was a good idea?
Also, as the President wasn't on board the plane, what was it doing sightseeing? There are plenty of ways to get photos, I'm not sure that is the proper platform for aerial photography.
Who the heck thought low flying planes in that part of NYC was even remotely a good idea?

Watching this video I can see how people got freaked out.
A lowflying jumbo jet with a F-16 on it's *** in NYC. Freakin' idiots.
Does not instill a lot of confidence in our Defense Department's judgement, thats for sure.

Not sure to what extent the DoD is complicit, but the flight was authorized by the Director, White House Military Office. What amazes me is that a computer wizard could have sat at his computer and generated the same video at a fraction of the cost.

Yeah, some savant like quat could probably do a bang-up job simply using photo shop.
But what the hell, we got money to burn. Real men of genius.

The government said it was a photo op. Rubbish! It was a rehearsal.

Shooting down a hijacked civilian jetliner.
Wow...OK. But if they were going to practice that, don't you think it would be somewhere a little less obvious, like Montana, or use something less than Air Force Two?

Supposedly the White House Military Office Director, Louis Caldera, or at least the fall guy.

Then we'd hear the tea-baggin right-wing scream about Stalinist type photo manipulation.....
