Battlestar Galactica gets remade, to much critical acclaim.

Star Trek gets remade, to much critical acclaim.

Now, coming soon to a television near you: V

I wonder if Robert Englund will reprise his role as Willy (I think that was the character's name) the nice lizard.

Have we exhausted the supply of rebootable sci-fi yet, or is there something else out there that can still be done over again?

James...

Hollywood is about to embark on a remake of Drop Dead Fred.

Those creatively-bankrupt SOBs will stop at nothing.

If they think they can make money on it, they will try to bring it back. Time to bring back Buck Rogers I guess.

That one already WAS a remake.

But guess what?

I'm all for that as long as they get someone as good lookin' as Erin Gray! It seems like nobody can come up with good ideas anymore. How many old tv shows and movies have already been re-made??

Hollywood has always been afraid of new things. It's businessmen and bean-counters who green-light projects not those with any real talent.

That's why we get a hundred remakes of rotten television shows from the 70's to every one Slumdog Millionaire.

I used to love watching this show when I was a kid. I remember being fascinated and a little grossed out ( when they ate mice) at the same time.
But honestly I think V was my first real foray into Sci - Fi media, and I still love it

Or perhaps, the '80s. They've now announced a forthcoming T.J. Hooker movie. I wonder if they will try to play it serious or for comedy?
