Do you think it should be allowed? I do I think it should be alowwed for what I would call family time. Did you know we may lose this privalage if some people do not knock of their crying.

Are you talking about camp fires in the city of Avilla? Don't you think there should be some limits to the size and what you can burn? I think Avilla is trying to let people still have a campfire but within certain limits. Are they crying from the smoke that gets in their eyes? :hmmmm:

Nope. Unless you want to pay for all the extra fires that get started.
Or would that be socialism? If you want to live in the country, move there.

It would be nice if they would allow it, but no matter what limits they try to put on it some idiot is going to ruin it for everyone.

I agree hairy, it would be very nice if they would allow it. The expectation would be that all would be responsible concerning their fires. The understanding should be...if not controlled fires....the owner is responsible.
End of subject and have a nice responsible family evening! Simple enough...don't you think?

A fire is only under control until it isn't. Most people underestimate what kind of clearance they need over and around a contained fire and just how far sparks can travel and still ignite things. While I like a good campfire, I'm generally against them in the relative close confines of a city/town environment.

I guess this is just another reason I won't live in a town. Out here where I live there just aren't very many rules at all telling me how to live my life. But, I'm basically responsible for everything myself. Which I think is how it should be--- more freedom ALWAYS equals more responsibilty; which tends to make people more responsible.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks for thoes who responded:
Next we can have a burn pit . At the next council meeting they will make it very clear on the size. The main reason for this is at the last meeting this month a person was crying bought burn pits. and that she did not wish to close her window to keep the smoke out of her house. she clam that the people next to her had a 3ft X 3ft pit and had 9 ft flame shooting out of it and the fire dept. and police dept. stated they only saw a very small flame like 2 ft high, and their family seting their enjoying the fire. so yes people have been complaining bought it but all councilmen stated Avilla will have a burn pit alowed. minues the trailer park for reasons the State says no burn pits alowed in trailer parks. the way to get your permit is go to the town office and get a permit every year at no cost you must have it or you can and will be fined. I can't waite till next meeting to see the new requirments for the burn permits.

I'll agree with that in concept unfortunately I don't think the reality always measures up.

There aren't many rules in Afghanistan...thus all the "freedumb" in the world that the teabagging dolts think they're being deprived of.
Follow?
Breathing the smoke isn't that much fun for the neighbors.
