What was Reagans 11th commandment?? Spend tons of money that we don't have? Because that's what he did.

Kind of like what Obama is doing to my country now, but only worse!

Ray-gun also put us a generation behind in renuable energy technology. We could have been leading the world in renuable technology, but he decimated all related programs.

Yeah, trying to stimulate the economy and rein in health care costs is so much worse than dumping billions into Star Wars.

So much worse.

Seriously, it would be nice if Conservatives realized that Republicans have not behaved like the conservatives they claim to be for decades. Your party is lousy with hypocrites. Get someone in the White House who spends money like Bill Clinton, THEN you can talk to us about conservatism. Because all we've seen from the Republican party is spend-happy people who increase the scope of government. From Reagan's war on drugs to Bush's warrantless wiretapping, the Republican party has done more to increase spending and destroy the Constitution than the Democratic Party has.

But you guys keep right on believing the tripe from Rush Limbaugh.

Be honest, you know I'm right. Clean house. Get some real conservatives in office* and you'll have my vote.

*the kind that realize smoking bans and bans on gay marriage are increasing the size of government just as surely as socialized medicine is

Sorry tallrob, but you really need to look at how much money Reagan spent. It's NOTHING to what Obama is going to or has spent.

Reagan actually submitted fairly balanced budgets but it was the Demcratically-controlled Congress of Tip O'Neil that kept spending. Constitutionally the House of Representative controls the purse strings.

Was Reagan complicit in some of the spending? Undoubtably. Were the overall spending levels his idea? No.
