I see that the daughter and the sister of the former Clerk Treasurer of Huntertown have made implications that, should Dave Rudolph remove them from their positions as assistant to the Clerk, their knowledge would be lost. How are we to know that they aren't going to resent Dave Rudolph from the get-go because he beat her mom/sister in a real life election? I know you could say that about any town employee who's boss is an elected official...but why would these women threaten such a thing. Has it ever been disclosed to these ladies that their boss is an elected official? Can anyone see how the nepotism "spoils the stew" so to speak?
For the record - Dave Rudolph has never stated that he plans to remove them. If they truly have the "merit" and knowledge that they claim to have...why are they so paranoid? If they were true professionals, you would think that they would keep a low profile even if they don't like any of the potential candidates. "Hey ladies! - That guy you publicly campaigned against just became your boss..."

Just spi****alling here... but maybe they're paranoid because some guy on the internet keeps saying that they shouldn't have the jobs that they have and that if Dave Rudolph wins they won't.
As for what you say the ladies said... how is that a threat? Remove anyone from any position and their knowledge is lost.
I know, I know.... blah blah blah
VOTE FOR DAVE RUDOLPH!
VOTE FOR DAVE RUDOLPH!
VOTE FOR DAVE RUDOLPH!

Nothing like beating the nepotisim dead horse again, and again.........................................and again. After all these past months bashing the Clerk-Treasurer and the Staff with the nepotisim BIG STICK, I would say it's a safe bet they're gone.
Beware of false profits or you'll get what you pay for. Enjoy the crack fill. :)

Cosmic,
I haven't worked in a government position in almost 40 yrs. All I can do is report how it used to be. I worked as a Clerk for Superior Court #3 in Allen County. My Boss was the County Clerk (even though the Superior Court Judge was who I actually worked directly for and with). I'm imagining that some of these laws have changed over the years...however..I don't know to what degree?
Back in those days, I worked under a Republican County Clerk. When a Democratic Clerk and/or a challenging Republican County Clerk candidate ran for that office...all of our jobs were at risk. We were expected to donate a % of our salaries to support our Boss. Wish I could remember exactly what that % was (1% or 2%) I'm thinking.
At any rate, the winner of the new term for County Clerk would hire his select employees and the previous ones would be let go once they had trained their replacements. Nepotism existed back then, family friends, church members were all given priority over the general public for hiring.
Today, our fine State of Indiana has spent $5.25 million to represent us in a case against IBM. Friendship, Political favors, and Nepotism are all involved. What are the chances of Indiana winning this case? I really can’t say, however, I will say, a spirit of cooperation and open communication is required from both parties when a project of this nature and scope is being undertaken. $5.25 million of tax payers monies has already been paid to Indianapolis Attorneys, Barnes & Thornsburg, to represent Indiana.
The contract is 9 ½ pages with 3 ½ pages defining all the conflict of interests involved by choosing Barnes & Thornsburg as our representatives.

Would this same kind of arrangement have occurred if the other party was in office? My best guess is….YES.
It is just the way our government works.
