Drew Carey replaces Bob Barker

Granted, it's probably been decades since I watched The Price is Right (work does that), but this makes no sense to me. Carey's style is more suited to constant sarcasm, and that's just not The Price is Right. And I can't see him getting out the line about having your pets spayed or neutered with a straight face.

I was very surprised by this announcement. I agree that Drew Carey does not seem like a replacement for Bob Barker, style-wise. Maybe they wanted a new spin to the show but as the ole saying goes "If it ain't broke-don't fix it". I guess we will wait and see the ratings.

I think Drew is a much better pick than Rosie!! I, too have not watched the show in years but will make an effort to catch it and see how Drew does.
