Tony Stewart, having finished dead last at Daytona at the beginning of this year, is now fifth in points. If memory serves me correctly, he was also dead last at Daytona the last time he won a championship.

Does this mean if he punches someone he's a lock for the Nextel Cup this year?;)

Got to admire his skill, and I really used to like him as NASCAR has gotten too vanilla....but he comes off as a petulant baby. Hey, Tony do you kiss your mother with that mouth??? His utterance of the B.S. word in it's full form after his victory ( Yes, Tony, you won. Why must you even be negative in victory lane?? ) was uncalled for and will cost him some pocket change and some points... His act is getting old. THE WORLD IS NOT AGAINST YOU TONY. Oh, and Subway might work for Jared, but I swore I saw that fence straining when you were climbing it. Also thought it was funny when you first did it and acted like you invented it. ( Actually it was Helio Castroneves.. or was it Al Gore?? )

Though I am not technically a TS fan, I really wanted him to win the Brickyard, being home boy and all. I knew he would be fined and/or docked points for his language last weekend, but I cannot believe ESPN is saying he is "a bad roll model" because he mentioned drinking a case of beer to celebrate his previous win! Give me a freakin break...the jerks who are saying that **** are probably the same ones drinking while he's racing his butt off. If a guy can't have a few beers to celebrate a victory, he might as well live in a 3rd world country. Our freedoms (ALL of them) are being eliminated one by one and NASCAR is getting major ridiculous! Very scary. Drink one for me, Tony!!!!!

Heck, Junior Johnson is now hawking moonshine. He actually went to the pen in the 50's for what is now (apparently) legal.

NASCAR was built on colorful characters but now they want it to be coprorate and sanitized.

If Tony drove Little E's car he would've ben given a pass as long as he said, "I drank a case of delicious Bud Light with only 73 calories per can and a "born on date" to ensure freshness to celebrate my victory."

The man is of legal age and didn't state that he was going to drive immediately afterward. Maybe some people had some issues with the quantity of a "case". But if that is the case, they were simply looking for something to complain about. They probably would have found something wrong if he had said he was going to go home and pray.

I agree with both of your replies. Some ppl just have to create drama, even where there really isn't any! The "holier than thou" peeps sicken me. :(
