As you may have noticed in today's edition (Aug. 30), The News-Sun sports staff unveiled its first edition of what we are calling our "Fab Five," the area's top five football teams (as we see it anyway) heading into Week Three.
Tell us what you think?
Are we right on the money? Are we dead wrong? Should we be fired!?!
After all, what's a poll without a little discussion?

It's not on the Web, so I can't comment.
But yes, Josh should be fired.
JUST KIDDING!

Seriously, I'm only kidding.

Here's a link (I was out this morning, so some things posted a bit late):

If you want the short version: 1. East Noble, 2. Lakeland, 3. Garrett, 4. DeKalb, 5. Angola

Wow James T, keep this thread handy because I'm willing to bet those five will change in a short time. Are you considering only your readership area or the conferences those teams are involved in?

Josh or Nick would have to answer who they considered, but I would guess it would be just those in our coverage area - otherwise, from what you guys have said, I'd guess Fairview would be on there.
'Busco, who do you think's going to drop off?

Uh, it's Fairfield, not Fairview. And since the list is sans Homestead, I guess it is just the local readership.

I'm sorry, I guess I should have clarified.
The teams we factored into this were just the group inside our local coverage area.

And these rankings are dead-on accurate. At least for the next 30 hours or so. :)

My apologies, if you're just going with just those four counties you're probably not far off.

if you're just going with just those four counties
The nice thing about Fence Post is we have enough space to open up the discussion as far as we want. Let's leave this thread for the four counties; I know we also had one on the NECC. But if you want, go ahead and start separate threads on who will be the tops in the NHC and ACAC, or any other conferences you want to talk about.
