Avilla Park(s): Public Input

On October 2nd @ 6:30pm, the public has an opportunity to have their voices heard at a public participation meeting of the Avilla Parks and Recreation Department at the Town Hall building. If you have ideas for new facilities or features, building renovations or new organized activities you'd like to see... SHOW UP and SPEAK UP!! If you have concerns or questions about any of the above, show up and speak up.

Be an asset to your community. Participate!

I make the park board meetings and they are trying to make Our park better each year with the budget they receive. I like to say with out being rude if their is something you like to see then come see the park board and if they can not afford it then reach in your back pocket and donate the money to them. Not sure if this is right or wrong but hey that’s the way it is, the park board is at the mercy of the town, and yes they do receive money from the town budget but it not near enough for them to implement every ones ideas. I think we have a very nice park and very well maintained I believe it is better than some parks I been to. I know the park board wants to fixed the tennis courts but they just do not have the money to do it, they like to have a swimming pool but no money to do it. They like to put a skate ramp in for the kids but no money to do it. or a gazebo. I just wish people would donate all the money to do their great ideas, but the donations roll in like all the people whom come and donate all that time to keep it looking nice. You have the same 3 people every year who do this for no self gain.

The Park Board meeting are on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm I hope to see you their. "bring your wallet to. we will supply the pen" Their is nothing free in today world.
