Did anyone else watch "The Price is Right" Monday, or see clips of it? I thought it was obvious that Drew Carey had the first-day jitters - he talked sort of fast and looked a little bit nervous a few times - but I think he's going to do alright. Of course, nobody can really replace Bob Barker, because he's an icon, but Drew Carey is funny and personable, but doesn't try to get in the way of the contestants, who are as wacky as ever.

I did think that maybe, just maybe, the show was a little bit rigged yesterday, though. I mean, it was a perfect show (everybody won their games) AND two people won $1,000 by getting $1 on the wheel. There have only been 75 shows (I think) since the beginning of the Price is Right, and there just happened to be a perfect show on the first day of a new host? I might just be a cynic, but that seems a bit too good to be true!

What did other people think of Drew Carey's first day on The Price is Right?

I didn't think anybody watched the Price is right that was under the age of 60 and I don't see him being likable to that demographic... Actually the only demographic I think he excels in is 35-45 year old males from Cleveland who are probably watching Jerry Springer in that time slot...

I can see the over-60 crowd thinking, "What a nice young man!" while watching Drew. He's sort of dialed down the "beer-and-pizza-loving guy's guy" persona from his stand-up and sitcom, and he's really started to perfect the art of being a host, since this is, what, the third show he's hosted now?
