Did Matt break the Main fwdailynews page also? It only partially loads for me. Been that way all day. I get nothing under More News, sports Marketplace, Announcements
He was trying to install something to fix some of the problems we've been having with images and, obviously, it took the whole thing down.
I can give him a hard time because he knows if I was trying to do some of the admin stuff he does I'd break a lot more.

I was having a problem earlier with the tab boxes not rendering. But it eventually went away (this was around 11) and when I just hopped on the site a few mintues ago it was displaying correctly. You might try performing a hard refresh (CTRL F5 on IE or CTRL R on Firefox). It might be as simple as you loaded a page earlie in the middle of a publish cycle and got a page that corrupted your JS file and the browser is still hanging on to the old file.
Mine's with logging in and use of the CP,even have to keep re-logging into the H-R quite often.
What do you think armyda? Matt up against the wall for 40 lashes with a wet noodle for break'n the Fence Post noth'n,Matt broke the whole dog gone internet
With no more that that going on around here for me it is![]()
In IE7, the front main page does not load the More News, Sports, Annoucements, Marketplace, Business and Online Features. This has occured on 2 seperate machines with pretty much all the same settings. A refresh does not fix the problem.
EDIT--
well, it did finally load. It just seems to be really slow.

ok matt you broke it this time....lol
It took me 8 times of going back and hitting reply to this in order to not get a message that said....... the admin will need to add you to the whiteboard before you can reply......
I am also getting the same whiteboard message when I try to play the games in the arcade or anything else. I seem to be able to read anything as long as I don't try to hit any reply or play buttons.![]()
OK folks lets try this. Are you coming to the site via www.kpcnews.com or via www.fwdailynews.com. I think this will have an affect on the system.
Matt
These are the last elements of the page to load, or more specifically the javascript that renders them is near the bottom of the page. So if there is anything holding up the page load (ads, other scripts,...) this can delay the load of these elements (even if your browser says "done"). I'll see if there is a way to move this up so the tabs are not waiting for other items. But right now the site loaded really fast for me so everything seems to be ok. Sorry if there were problems yesterday.
I have added kpcnews.com to the domain whitelist for the forums. This will eliminate some of the error messages, but it will not eliminate all functionality issues.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The forums software that we use can only be installed on a single domain. We have installed this on our fwdailynews.com domain as that is the working domain for our news site. Our old address kpcnews.com still works as it is set up as an "Alias" of fwdailynews.com. But not all functionality of the site will work if you are still using the kpcnews.com address. I highly reccomend updating your bookmarks to www.fwdailynews.com and using this address in the future.
Still not showing up for me Matt: I've cleared history, cookies, cache, updated Java, rebooted, etc. And yes, I come in via fwdailynews.com
It might be that my ISP is caching the web page. That is about the only thing I can think of left. Or I can just keep blaming you for breaking the Internet![]()
OK Matt I was still using the www.kpcnews.com link. I did use that link just now to get in and everything loaded fine this morning and I was able to just click once and get here so it seems that whatever the problem was last night is fixed for now. I will however start using the fwdailynews link to come in from now on.
I guess for now you are off the hook for breaking things here....![]()
The problem with loading the tab boxes was being caused by the weather bug in the top of the header failing to load. I have temporarily nuked it and the page is loading just fine now. Please pay no attention to the blank white box in the top corner of the news pages. I'll try to do something about that tomorrow.
I guess if I am going to be blamed for breaking things I might as well fix some things too... Alright, time to relax
