Worst. Dialogue. Ever.

Entertainment Weekly posted a list of 15 of the worst pieces of movie dialogue ever. You can find it here.

Most of them are from romantic comedies (including "Notting Hill," "Pretty Woman" and "She's All That"), but those are atrocious movies anyway. There was one nomination from "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" - "Hold me, like you did by the lake on Naboo." Personally, I think that the entire movie should be nominated for worst dialogue, but my least favorite line from that movie is when Padme shrieks "ANAKIN! YOU'RE BREAKING MY HEART!" However, an even worse line is when Anakin whines "I don't like sand. It's rough and course, and gets everywhere..."

What are some of your least favorite movie lines?

"You mean he's your BROTHER brother?"
- Capt. James T. Kirk to Spock in Star Trek V, referring to Spock's half-brother Sybok, who apparently Spock had never mentioned in the previous 30-plus years of Star Trek. Yes, the whole movie could be nominated.

I could probably nominate that entire movie for worst dialogue. I hate everything about that movie, except the sweet flying.

Do lines that were intended to be bad count, or just ones that were meant to be taken seriously?

"If I didn't have puke breath, I'd kiss you" is one of my favorite lines from Strange Brew.

How about dialogue that was never uttered but is ingrained in our memories?

"Frankly, Scarlett I don't give a ****."

"Beam me up, Scotty."

You hate Top Gun??? Wow, that is one of my favs. Loved the music in it, big time. Oh yeah, and that beach volleyball scene...Yum!

The best is that Maverick tries so hard to get a date, plays volleyball until he's late, shows up to her house all sweaty, and says, "I'm just gonna take a shower".

What a sweetheart.

I like in Speed when Sandra Bullock hits the baby carriage full of cans, Sandra freaks out, and Keanu says, "its cans".

Heh...when you're that hot, a few minutes late is no biggie (or however many...don't recall). She still got what she wanted.
