The issue, as I understand it, is whether or not high level former presidential aides can ignore subpoenas and be exempt from appearing before congress.

I vote 'no'. Our government was set up as a system of checks and balances to prevent one branch from claiming too much power. If the White House can claim Executive Privilege on anything it doesn't want to deal with -- who is to restrain them?

Anyone else have an opinion on the matter?
