At the height of the Iraq war there were 207 reporters embedded with the military. To date they are down to 58 reporters. Why? Because there's no longer any sensational tabloid news to report. You are also wrong about Bush having the lowest approval rating. President Truman had the lowest at 23%. Bush 41 was 29%, Carter 28% and Nixon 24%. What traitor did he commute the prison sentence? If you're referring to Libby you got it wrong. The CIA operative was outed by the Assistant Secretary of State Armitage. What's wrong with talking to the industry insiders if they're the experts on energy. If you have a medical problem do you go see a plumber, no you see a doctor, a medical insider. Your right I get the picture, but not the same picture you want to see.
Saddam was NEVER a threat to us. Sure he was not a nice man, but the Idiot promised us Hussein had WMDs, Rice warned of a "Mushroom Cloud" and the entire Idiot's media corps went into overdrive trying to link Iraq with al Qaida, even though the terrorist organization had no ties to Iraq until AFTER the Idiot invaded. If we were so concerned about the Kurds, why didn't the Idiot's FATHER liberate them when he had his chance, instead of letting them be slaughtered by Saddam?
Sorry, I misspoke. The Idiot's DISAPPROVAL rating is the highest in polling history at 71%. His "approval" rating is third worst compared to Truman and Nixon. His family must be so proud.
Gee, why would there be fewer reporters, since Iraq is SO safe, I'm sure it's not because they don't feel safe over there and that they're sick of having their reports redacted and being forced to be propagandists.
Libby, Rove and Cheney all conspired to release Plame's name as retaliation against a whistleblower. Libby was CONVICTED. Bush commuted his sentence, even though he originally claimed he'd fire anyone in his organization that was responsible. Even former puppet (and still a weasel) McClellan admits he was duped by Bush, et al.
And why doesn't your argument that letting the energy industry make rules to govern themselves fill me with confidence? You used doctors as an example. Would you want the nations' laws regarding prescription drug costs written by the pharmaceutical industry? Wait, you defend Big Oil, so yeah, you probably would prefer it.
