I BELIEVE that the baby is being taken care of by a family friend, but I'm not positive about that. Rosco would know better than I would. But I think that's what I heard or read, somewhere.

LAGRANGE — Three people, including a convicted felon, were arrested on drug charges Tuesday at the site of a 2005 double homicide, and several firearms were discovered.

Police say the arrests are not linked to the homicides.

Thank you for letting me know. I have caught on to all or that from reading the other forum. I REALLY would like to talk to Sherry and the other family members. If anyone could help me make that happen I would love it.

I wonder how long it will take before the three of them roll over on each other, and we all find out the truth.

The Foundation's $20,000 reward would have to be mighty tempting, right about now. As I understand it, it is a no-questions-asked reward. No matter who you are, no matter what you've done, if you provide information that solves the case, you get the money. It's as simple and easy as that. Crimestopper's also offers an anonymous $1,000 reward on top of that. That would cover bail money, or pay for a very good defense lawyer, rather than a public defender, and would can also be a part of a plea bargain for a lighter sentence. Indiana does NOT screw around with Meth charges. They are majorly cracking down on that, these days. This is all assuming any of these people know anything, obviously. They may not.

Thumbs up Re: Double Homicide - October 2005

I just heard from Rosco, Terry's daughter, that America's Most Wanted requested, and will be receiving in a day or two, an information packet from the Lagrange County Sheriff's Department on the Anderson Murders and will put the case on their website!!!!

Giving it TV air-time has not been decided, yet, but the national exposure it will get on their website is great news!

My father, Terry Anderson, was a Musky guide for NW Indiana/Southern Michigan areas. His favorite lake to guide/fish was at Webster Lake Indiana.

Since my father's murder, Webster Lake Musky Club has dedicated an Iron Man Fishing Tournament each year.

Proceeds from this Iron Man Tournament are donated to The Anderson Foundation for the growth of the reward (currently $20,000) for the capture and conviction of my father and step-mother's killer/s.

June 20th and 21st - will be the Third Annual Terry Anderson Iron Man Memorial.

This Tournament is open to the public.

The Terry and Darleen Anderson Memorial Iron Man Musky Fishing Tournament raised close to $1000 a couple weeks ago at Webster Lake. Sadly, one of the founding members of the tourney and good friend of Terry died unexpectedly at age 47 just 3 days before the tournament, so the proceeds went towards his wife and young child, rather than the reward fund, which remains at $20,000.

Just 2 months shy of the 3 year anniversary of these murders, and still no arrests. Leads are continuing to come in, but we could use some more to finish the deal.

SWAT raid on Anderson homestead unrelated to murder investigation

LAGRANGE - Three people face charges after the Northeast Indiana SWAT team raided a rural Mongo home Tuesday morning which was the site of the murders of Terry and Darlene Anderson back in 2005.

State Police Detective Jeff Boyd says Tuesday's raid was not related to the open murder investigation.

Detectives obtained a search warrant last Friday after learning that 36-year-old Robert Lee White might be a felon in possession of firearms and that illegal drug activity was taking place.

White is charged with manufacturing meth, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

22-year-old Amanda Anderson of LaGrange faces the same charges except for the firearm charge.

49-year-old Randy LaMar Waite of LaGrange is charged with manufacturing meth, maintaining a common nuisance, theft, and possession of paraphernalia.
A follow up to this....it's my understanding that Amanda Anderson is now wanted by police for skipping her court date on these charges. Her house, where the murders occurred, appears to have been abandoned, and there is no sign of her anywhere, except on her MySpace page, oddly enough.

This does not surprise me a bit.

It is inspiring to see how the community and their law enforcement are not letting this crime be forgotten.

I never had the priviledge to know the Andersons, however, I enjoyed reading their website page that has been posted. After reading that website, I felt I knew them just a bit. That page is very well done.

I'm confident that the law enforcement people will eventially solve this case. Keeping the case alive in the local newspaper is a helpful reminder to the community - the search continues and their support is still needed.

    Best wishes!

    Since you're family, I think it's fair.

    Investigation into 2005 double-homicide continues
    By Tiffany Yoder
LAGRANGE — It’s been nearly three years, but friends and family of Terry and Darleen Anderson have not forgotten the Mongo couple. Law enforcement hasn’t forgotten them, either.

On the morning of Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, the Andersons were found murdered on their property in the 6000 block of C.R. 250N in rural Mongo. With a memorial service planned Saturday and the three-year anniversary of the event approaching, Sheriff Terry Martin assures that though there has not yet been a conviction, the case is still under investigation.

“It’s pretty much a weekly occurrence that we talk about it,” Martin said.

Terry, 59, and Darleen, 57, died of blunt force trauma. In the years since then, officers from the LaGrange County Police Department, Indiana State Police and FBI have all taken part in the investigation. At one point, nearly 10-12 officers were working the case at a single time. Now Lt. Tad Oakley of the sheriff’s department is the main officer on the case, with a county deputy and officer from the state police assisting.

“Essentially we have three guys working on the case now,” Martin said.

The officers still investigate tips, conduct interviews and keep Martin informed on any progress.

“They still get leads and try to follow them up,” Martin said. They are still hoping for one big tip to break the case and find the person responsible for the murders.

Martin said former sheriff Greg Dhaene, who was working in Martin’s current position when the homicides occurred, had been upset by it as well.

“That was one of the hardest things not being able to close the case before he left the office,” Martin said. He added that he knew the community as a whole and the officers working on the case were also wanting to close the case.

“They work hard on this case, its frustrating for them,” Martin said. “They want to solve it, too. Everyone wants it solved.”

Martin explained some of the difficulties in relating information about the case to the press and public. He said it was difficult to sit closed-mouth and reveal only the information from written press releases, though he said it was important to the investigation not to reveal many details.

“We have to be guarded in what we say,” he said. Martin and the department assured, though, while there isn’t much public discussion on the matter, the Andersons were certainly not removed from their minds.

“We haven’t forgotten about this case,” Oakley said. “We’ll never forget about this case.”

A memorial for the Andersons will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mongo Community Cemetery on S.R. 3 North at their graves. There will be music and prayers given by the Rev. James Bartlett of Mongo United Methodist Church.
