The news surrounding the Palin family in Alaska vs the news surrounding the politics in Chicago are running a very close race.
Last week Sarah Palins church was a victim of arson with damages in the $1 million dollar bracket.
Today, I read that her daughter's, Mother-in-Law to be, has been arrested for 6 felony charges of misconduct in handling controlled substances.
The same article quoted Levi's mother, Sherry Johnston, saying that all she wants to be is a country girl and this high life of politics was nothing she wanted anything to do with.
I can't help it, I wonder if Sarah Palin may have influenced this arrest?
BTW, the baby is due tomorrow.
Maybe she wants everything exposed and long out of the way before she runs for president in the future.
It crossed my mind that rumors were circulated in Alaska communities that she (Sarah) had done something similar to this to her ex brother-in-law. As far as I know, this lady (mother-in-law to be) had never had a previous criminal charge until this point in her life.
Of course, I imagine alot of 40+ yr old females do take up the life of crime to get them thru their menapause? We need to recognize this.
You all know my remarks are nothing more the creative speculation, it amused me so I decided to share. My personal take on Sarah is that she is a control freak so I didn't have to stretch my imagination too far to get there.
Ebbie, I firmly believe the old saying: Women who are well behaved seldom make history.
I enjoyed my 40's and all the years after.![]()
LB, her daughter's mother-in law's felony convictions will not probably reflect favorably on the first family of Alaska. Do you not believe it best to put this behind Sarah if she is going forward with her political career?
Also, how could she hold the 1st Grandma status to her 1st grandchild, if the other Grandmother had no flaws? We must note, the other Grandmother has never had a crime in her history until she became the 2nd Grandmother of the Palin's 1st grandchild. (probably just a coincidence)? We should probably give this event no mind..just another Palin suprise!!
Give me a break!!
OMGosh, I wish we could ban her being in the news. I had too much of her during the election process.

Admittedly all comments I make regarding Sarah Palin are influenced by my distrust and distaste of the woman.
Looking back in time to other politicians with embarrassing moments from their relatives, President Carter, had his brother Billy doing his famous airport incident where he relieved himself on the runway in front of the press.
President Clinton had his brother's involvement with illegal drugs, (didn't he pardon his brother before he left office?)
Then President Bush had his niece, Jeb Bush's daughter forging prescriptions in Florida.
All of these President's sucessfully shrugged their relative's incidents away. So - LB, I must conceed the odds are in your favor, it will have little bearing on Sarah's political future.
This thread started with a question wondering if S.P. had anything to do with the arrest. Now you are discussing if it will affect her political future.
Mind pointing out where the evidence was presented of her connection? Quite honestly I missed it.
Quiet honestly there were none! I was merely speculating. This is why I posted the topic in the thread "much ado about nothing". Please read my previous posts. They are based merely on speculation and my distrust of SP. I also concede as I responded to LB, this will probably have NO effect on SB's political future.
Merely my suspect opinions of Sarah Palin are being posted here. Hopefully, I am allowed to disclose my lack of faith in this woman on this post. I could support my opinions under a separate thread ( it might need to be under the Political thread).
Honestly, my disrespect of the woman does not leave me with much enthusiasm to even pursue that venue.
However, if anyone feels it necessary to support her. I've no problem reviewing her lack of abilities with any of you.
You are quite correct Helen. I was just noting that that it appeared, at least to me, that the question of if she was involved was being replaced by what effect her involvement would have. When you move only to the effect of involvement, it can be misinterpreted that you are assuming that there was an involvement.
