I'm really excited about seeing "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" in the theaters again, but I'm not convinced about the 3-D thing. Really, why does it need to be in 3-D. I feel that usually the colors are muted, and even though things are popping out at you, it looks more boxed in to me, and therefore the movies aren't as immersive. I'm just not convinced that 3-D really is the wave of the future for animated films; I think that it's a fad, and in a couple of years nothing will be in 3-D anymore. They did the 3-D thing in the 1950s, and again in the 70s-80s, and it just never caught on. It's more of a visual gag than anything else.
