The trail off Van Buren

The diamond is the general location of a bunch of new baseball diamonds. The red line is the general location of a paved trail off Van Buren St.

What's the story with the trail? Is it going to be paved further, or is that it? You can walk the paved area from Van Buren, all the way to the diamonds. It's a nice walk, but I would love for it to be expanded.

Basically, I'm looking for a nearby trail where I can do some rollerblading when the weather breaks. It's one of my favorite summer activities, but I haven't bladed at all last summer because I don't know if there's anywhere to do so.
