I have never heard of them. Do they serve acapulco gold? one of my all time favorites.![]()
Just wondering if it's open. I had heard they bought it, but hadn't heard of an official opening or anything. I try and keep up on the Herald Republican, but I probably missed that day, if they did an announcement in there.
Anyhow, I was hoping to stop in there this weekend. I still miss Pier 32, but, at least the location will make a nice place for a mexican restaurant. I've been to the Acapulco Grill in Angola, and it was awesome.
Thanks in advance!

Yeah, the supposedly moved into the old Pier 32. I figured I was the last to know. They have a location over by Lake James, that has been there probably 2 years. Very good food, comparable (some say better) to Las Limas. They have excellent Margarita's.
Well, I'll keep digging around. If I can find the Angola location, I'll call them to see what the deal is.
Called Angola location. The girl that answered the phone said - Yes, when I asked her if the Hamilton location is open. By the sounds of it, her fluent language wasn't english, but I think she understood what I was asking.
So - I guess I'm going there this weekend. I'll post back how it was! If it's anything like the Angola location, it'll be awesome. Their margarita's are awesome, and the food is very good. I can imagine now the scenic view over Hamilton Lake will be a nice touch to the meal. Can't wait!
Really not much of a view from there, take your binoculars.

Maybe we're not talking about the same location - the old Pier 32. I used to sit at the bar and look right out the window - 10 ft. from me was the lake. Could watch the sun set from there. Was the perfect place to kick back and relax. I'm curious if they have the outdoor patio open that sits right on the lake. There used to be a guy that would fly his plane, land it on the lake and park right next to the patio.
Wanted to post an update on this. Went a few weeks ago. I couldn't believe it inside, the place was jam packed. People were on top of each other practically. But, same as the Angola location, the food was awesome. I think I would suggest, if you go, to ask to be seated in either a booth or the patio - although with it being cold, I'm sure they're going to shut the patio. We sat in the middle section right as you walk in, and we were literally right next to the table next to us, and the path between us and the booth was tight, with a steady flow of wait staff traffic and customers buzzing by. We went around 6 or 7 on a Saturday night, so, of course it's going to be packed. I think the jam packed feeling is worth it though, once the food arrived. Everyone was having a great time in there, which really made the closeness fun.
We'll definitely be back there soon. The food is always so fresh, and it's nice to see the lake right there as you eat. I took a picture as we walked into the restaurant:
And one after we left (notice the margarita's made the camera blurry too!)

I could sit out there hairypumper and discuss both fond and not so fond memories from that exact loction over-looking that particular lake where those memories took place and do so without glasses...as well what could of been another memory (as in geeze, why wasn't I invited) when our newly elected President and V.P. stopped in there for a bite![]()
Not a bad view if you stare straight ahead all the while. Turn your camera 30 degrees left or right and what do you see? One view, no panorama, wow. If they don't stay right on top of things the trash and dead fish float up to the lake side of the building, nice smell. The creek on the North side of the building carries everything to that area and the eddy effect deposits it right there. If they've got good food at a reasonable price I don't care what's outside. If I want to look at the lake I'll go to one of my freind's house or put my boat in and see the whole thing.
