There are many questions yet to be answered, and here are a few more from
a different angle on this story.
Why did the taser not work properly? Did it malfunction?
Which department used the taser?
How did he make it from "the opposite end of the offices," out the doors, and to his car with five police departments present? (Suggesting a minimum of five officers present.) According to the article, this was a partially incapacitated man after being tasered.
If there was justification to use the taser, and it did not work properly the first time, why was it not used a second time?
Interestingly enough, no other media seems to be reporting this incident. I checked the 2 Fort Wayne newspaper sites, as well the 2 TV sites, and WOWO. You would think a taser incident at school would be picked up by the media pretty fast.
According to this article,
they are using them on minors.

and because of a faulty one, this person died!!

Believe it or not, there are a few men (& dogs too by the way) who are in fact simply too tough to knock down with a taser! There are also an even smaller number who will become insanely violent after being tasered.
One guy I know personally was even on the front page of the "Evening Star" newspaper, under the headline "Man Tougher Than Taser".
While the taser IS a validly useful law enforcement tool, it is NOT the ultimate crime fighter by any means.
Sorry if I popped anyone's bubble :-(

and i have heard, that some people, who are ordered to die in the electric chair, don't die!!
they live through the electric charge.
In reference to the taser. Sometimes the taser cartridge, the part that has the wires and probes, malfunctions, and may not shoot. Also they may not have gotten a square shot and a probe missed, or hit a thick piece of fabric causing a weak stun. As to using the taser a second time, it may not have been possible. The man could have pulled out the probe or been too far away to use the "drive stun" method. There could have been a number of what ifs, but I'm just giving a few examples. Also as Joe stated a taser does not affect some people, and it is not the ultimate weapon.
First things first. Just because the paper says " Officers were assisted by ___ enter name here " does not mean they were there when the incident took place. Good chance that it was one maybe two officers to start with and as things went sour then other agencies responded.
# 2. A lot of things can cause a taser malfunction or for the person receiving the juice not to get a full dose. That being clothing worn ... position of probes... you name it.
# 3 if there were other factors involved maybe other people or something then 1 or 2 officers have their hands full at least until other departments arrive on scene.
When I read this article I was thinking to myself what the heck is going on around here in our schools anymore when a parent cannot keep him/herself under control ?
I remain interested in the outcome of this arrest. The only article that I read in the paper said Mark A. Marks Sr. had been arrested for 2 felony charges and 2 misdemeanors and no bond has been set.
By this time, I imagine a bond has been set. Has he bonded out? What were the circumstances at school that caused this parent to act like this?
If a police report is taken at the time of a crime, isn't that information pubic information? Can KPC give us more info?

Ok, this just in. This is just what i "heard" about 10 minutes ago.
A friend of mine has a child that attends this school. The child made a comment that the vice principle got punched in his face from the parent we are reading about in the paper.
I do not know if this is true. This is just what I heard.![]()
