I've been a Joomla! user since well before the 're-branding' from Mambo.

Pretty cool cms (and it's WAY cheaper than whatever you were using previously!).

aha! You have just expanded my knowledge base. Joomla is a CMS system! I had no clue before you raised my awareness. Thanks! Is it expensive?

Ooo, I contributed to that guide, I believe. Can't tell you how many people I've directed to that--probably several hundred!
It's a really good read, and very helpful!

For those of you less computer savvy, you may want to consider the free WordPress.com blogging platform. It's certainly much easier, but is also much less extendable.

Thanks. Yes, it seems to be working pretty well for us.

I don't do too much on the programming end of it, but if you have any suggestions for any modules we should add, let me know and I'll pass them along to the people who.

In layman's terms, Joomla! is software that runs a Web site.
It enables different people to add stories and content, who don't have to be high-level programmers.

This software runs on a Web server, and delivers the Web pages you see when you visit any of the KPC News sites.

It's the framework of the Web site. We use it to store and display our articles and photos online, and create the navigation menus, design the front pages, etc.
