I have just read LB's summary of this thread and I agree with all that he says. The members on FP disagree widely on politics and religion and many other topics. It gets a little dicey sometimes, but, not to the levels of disrespect and disregard of our members that I've seen on this thread.

The people of Huntertown will speak on tuesday, and if Dave Rudolph loses; I'm sure he and the people who stood up for him will go on with their lives. Maybe he will run again somday, maybe not. After all according to marshall he is "getting up in years". But if he wins, I'm afraid this will never be over. I have a feeling the lies and the slander will continue.

Marshall, as a public figure my Dad is fair game, but calling Doug McComb unethical is a little extreme. The next time you are walking the streets of Huntertown, make sure you tell everyone you see how sleazy and unethical Doug McComb is and then count how many people laugh in your face. It would be hard to find someone outside of your house that would say anything negative about Doug.

Where did you pull from any of my posts that I said anything negative about Doug, Dave and Lois McComb? I knew (know) them and I don't have any ill feeling towards any of them. This post of yours is a prime example of taking a piece of information and twisting into something horribly false. The post Which is verifiable was to draw attention to the hypocritical stand on nepotisim. "Do as I say but not as I do." When I have access to a scanner on Monday I'll post the minutes and the JG article.

I don't hate your dad. I don't like what he is trying to make a stand on primarily based upon misinformation, distortions of individuals comments and out right hypocrital actions. His actions are only designed to catch the uninformed, new folks in town unfamiliar with his past and would not know right from wrong in his words and printed statements. His actions unfortunately were no different than yours in jumping to a conclusion that I some how said Doug McComb is unethical.

Our own medicine isn't to post unsubstantiated statements. If you are around here long you'll see that the regulars here will jump all over the other regulars if one makes posts like that. It usually happens faster than it does to newcomers. You didn't give us a taste of our own medicine, if you had you would have made rebutals that could be substantiated. I'm sorry, but in my opinion, I haven't seen that from you yet.

Fair enough, I did make a jump there. My question to you again would be about the current state of affairs. Can you honestly defend elected officials hiring family members into government positions? If you can let me hear your argument. You can skip scanning the minutes and the article. I read my Dad's article and I think you are misinterpreting it, like my mom said the resource officer still works for the sheriff, so unless the article says "I want to eliminate the resource officer program" it is pointless. Do your minutes establish a timeline of events? Were Doug and Lois hired after Dave took office? Once again without that it would be a waste of time and energy.
