You can write a letter or send a package to brighten the day of our Military serving overseas. I have been doing this for years and think it's a great program. I started when I had friends and family members serving, they are home now but good to remember those still over there.
There is a local group here that does just this. Birthday cards, Christmas cards, letters, care packages, etc. Families For Freedom...they meet once a month at the American Legion in Rome City. Mainly people from Noble and LaGrange counties attend, but I think anyone is welcome. When my oldest son was in the Corps, he and his wife received some really nice packages. They are out of the service, but my middle son is now an active duty Marine and is deployed overseas, but not to either sand box. Any organization that sends care packages is worth mentioning. Thanks for the link.
