So VERY sad! Real sorry ebbieday.
I'm sharing the following information with ebbieday's permission.
There is a story in today's papers about Donald Grover Boyer Jr., 44, of Albion, who died in a motorcycle accident Monday in Allen County. Donald is the husband of Deb Boyer, longtime Fence Post member ebbieday.
I don't know if ebbie will be on FP anytime soon or not, so rather than overwhelming her private message box or posting condolences on this thread you may want to post them on this page on the Brazzell Funeral Homes site:

Here is the story I referred to earlier:
FORT WAYNE — The Allen County Coroner’s office Tuesday released the name of an Albion man killed Monday when his motorcycle collided with a van on U.S. 33 at Valentine Road in Allen County.
Donald Grover Boyer Jr., 44, of Albion died of blunt-force trauma, according to a coroner’s office news release. An autopsy was performed Tuesday morning,
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department reported at approximately 5:50 p.m. Boyer was operating a motorcycle northbound on U.S. 33 when a driver attempting to turn his van south onto U.S. 33 pulled in front of Boyer, causing the motorcycle to strike the van on the driver’s side.
The impact pushed the van into a ditch, and the motorcycle crashed in the roadway.
Boyer was pronounced dead at the scene. The van’s driver was not injured.
Boyer was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the coroner’s office.
The incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Allen County prosecutor.
Funeral services for Mr. Boyer will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion Chapel. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
So VERY sad! Real sorry ebbieday.

Sorry to hear this. Best wishes to ebbieday and family.
Oh, so sad.
Very sorry for your loss, Ebbie.

I am terribly sorry for your loss. May God give you the strength to get you through this very difficult time.
My prayers are with you.
This is terrible news.
No words are adequate to console or express enough sympathy for her loss.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss Ebbieday
I truly appreciate all of your kind words and shall return here eventually. My husband really was a great human being!

Oh, ebbie. I am so sorry that this has happened to you and your family. If you feel like it some time in the future, I would love to know more about your husband and his life.
Oh Ebbie! My sincere condolences. I have just now read this thread. I cannot find the words to express my surprise and regret for your loss Debbie. Should you ever want to have a visit...know that my home & my heart are always open to you. I am so very sorry to hear this news.

So sorry to hear about this, Ebbie. Best wishes for your friends and family.
I wanted to thank you all again for the well wishes. I saw that a few of you signed my husbands' funeral home guest book and I really appreciate that. I have printed them off for safe keeping. I never imagined myself in this position at 43 years of age, but here I am and somehow I will get through.
The shock has not worn off and the other stages of grief are ahead for me so I see some counseling in my near future. My husband, Sons' Father and Grandsons' Grandpa was taken too soon in life. We are also expecting another grandchild in February that he will never meet. All I can ask right now is "why"? Thank you all for the support!

Thank you for the update Debbie. You have been held in my thoughts this past week. Continued best wishes are going out to you. Take good care of yourself!

Well, it's official. The man who killed my husband was well over the legal limit drunk (I got confirmation last week)! Any chance there will be an update stating this in the paper? I have already contacted the local news stations and so far one of them is going to do an updated report on it. To what extent, I don't know, but this needs to be known and the man needs to be arrested if he hasn't been already.

FORT WAYNE — A Fort Wayne man was been charged with reckless homicide for a July 11 accident that took the life of an Albion man.
George W. Blair, 49, of Fort Wayne is being held in the Allen County Jail on charges of reckless homicide, felony operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated, jail staff said Sunday. He is held on $30,000 bond.
The charges against Blair stem from a July 11 accident in which he allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of Valentine Road and U.S. 33 in Allen County at about 6 p.m.
Blair allegedly pulled his van in front of a motorcycle driven by Don G. Boyer Jr., 44, of Albion, court records said. The motorcycle collided with the van. The van went into a ditch, and the motorcycle came to rest just off the road.
Emergency personnel tried to resuscitate Boyer at the scene, but were unable to do so, court records said. He died at the scene of blunt-force trauma from the crash.
Boyer was going home from work and wore a helmet at the time of the crash. He was a husband and father of three.
Blair was uninjured in the crash. Court records said his blood-alcohol content tested at 0.12 percent.
A warrant was issued for Blair’s arrest Friday.
A court hearing in his case is set for Tuesday in Allen County’s felony court at the Allen County Courthouse, jail staff said.
Thanks, James! I read this in the FW paper yesterday and about the warrant being issued Friday or Saturday. Most likely I do not need to tell you all what a HUGE step this was for me and my entire family. It's the day we've been waiting for since crash happened. Now, hopefully, the wheels of justice will begin to turn in all the right directions from here on.
