That sounds amazing Sugar Magnolia. We also have a team called The Fort Wayne Shadow Chasers with the Newspaper and them putting on some pretty big events in the near future!! I just caught on to your acronym lol.. Yes you would sell lots of those t-shirts!
This happened in a house on S. Wayne St., Angola: It was a house made up of 4 apts 2 upstairs, 2 down; I was dating the guy who lived downstairs from me, we were in bed; he was fast asleep, I had just closed my eyes to go to sleep. I had the strongest feeling we were being watched....I opened my eyes and at the foot of the bed, there stood this confederate war 'spirit' just staring at me; at the same time I was extremely scared, I couldn't take my eyes off him nor could I move. He stared for what seemed like a couple minutes, then kept getting smaller and smaller until he was like a ball size, then poof, he was gone. He was dressed in complete war uniform, including hat, rifle, all that. It was like he wanted to tell me something, but didn't speak.

I've also seen a shadow person, and was told, by puertorican, that when you have a shadow person in your home, it is a spirit of someone who you knew from the past, that has died and they appear to you in shadow form, because you won't let go of them. All I had to do was think of who it could be, tell them out loud that I was letting them go and that they needed to move on....I havent experienced a shadow person, since then! I have more to tell on this subject of the paranormal, but I don't want to look like I'm hogging this thread! I wish I was on one of the teams though; I love to study the supernatural/paranormal!

I was just talking to a friend of mine about this stuff two nights ago. She told me that not too long ago her brother, who died many years ago, was in her bedroom standing next to her bed in his Army uniform. He was holding a kid and she had no idea who the kid was. He didn't talk, just stood there for a little bit and then was gone. My late husband's grandad's wife told me that after grandad died in '93, she was still in bed one morning and he simply appeared in bed with her! She told me, "I don't drink and I don't do drugs and I'm telling you he was THERE!" Since my husband passed in July, our oldest son out in Cali (who does not believe in God, ghosts or spirits) woke up at 3 am one morning and saw a black shadow in their bedroom. His wife woke up at about the same time and he asked her if he saw that. She said yes, but didn't know what it was. It was there for a while and then was gone. Hubby's best friend lives in Kendallville and has told us stories about a little girl that runs through his bedroom sometimes. He said one night he felt someone kicking his bed from under it. He yelled at her, "It's not time to play, it's time to go to sleep!" It stopped.
I have heard numerous stories like these over the years, but never experienced it myself. I do hope to one day soon...I miss my husband!

Burgundy...I just want to say that I know you mean well....but I have no doubt about Debbie and her husband and their good character standing as members of our community. Debbie's husband lost his life in a horrible accident. I do believe his soul will rest in peace and I desire with all of my heart that Debbie and her sons will be able to put their horrible loss to rest. Nothing any of us can do will bring Debbie's husband and her son's father back, however, we can recognize and appreciate his contributions made while he was with us.
We can embrace Debbie and family as their family grows and let them feel the love we have for their family within our community and in our hearts. I have only visited with Debbie once, my impressions of her was of a most genuine and sincere lady. That was several years ago...my impression has never changed about her. I'm just darn sure most of us on FP are sending her our best wishes and support during these difficult times.
To you Debbie...best wishes for continued strength and well being.....

I will look forward to the visit Debbie! This weekend I am preparing my home for our big family reunion that happens next weekend. While the reunion is held at my Aunt & Uncles home, many of the out of state relatives pay visits to our home also. Any weekend after next weekend is open and will work for me. Let's do it!

I was working at a Bible Conference Center on Lake Michigan. I shared a room in an an old Inn with a guy from South Africa on the second floor, at the far end of the hallway. My bed was next to a window. It was raining. Thunder. My roommate's bed was at the far end of the room but he'd been gone all that night. The bathroom was joined with the room next to us. That door was locked with hook and eye, as was the door that joined my room to the room nextdoor. The door that led to the hallway was locked. The window had an air conditioner in it. In the middle of the night I was laying there half asleep, listening to the rain and thunder when I felt something jump up onto the foot of my bed. I was raised with cats and it reminded me of a heavy cat, maybe. I kept my eyes closed. It moved up the mattress like a cat would. I was on my side, with my back to the window. I was between the window and the "cat." I felt it stop at my outstretched arm and lean down and sniff it. I felt the fur around it's mouth and it's whiskers as it lightly bit my arm and held it. I didn't move, remaining there with my eyes closed. It growled. The growl did not sound like a cat. I shot up a quick prayer, thinking it was maybe a raccoon as those have occassionally fallen into rooms from the drop ceiling. As I finished my prayer, the animals disappeared. It didn't release my arm or jump down off the bed. I just felt it's weight disapper from the mattress and it's teeth vanished. I sat up and quickly turned the light on, but there was nothing in my room. No teeth marks on my arm. And no way something that large could have gotten into my room. The drop ceiling was intact. I never found out what it was.
