Always good to hear a positive story about the police. The good stuff is seldom reported.
Recently I had the opportunity to interact with the Wolcottville and Rome City Police Depts, related to the care and transportation of an abused spouse. The officer from Wolcottville had us stop at a designated area while he made sure the home was safe for the abused person to obtain some needed items before being transported. He kept in contact via cell phone every few minutes to let us know what was going on. The home was deemed NOT safe to stop at and we were told to remain where we were until the officer arrived. He arrived quickly, not long after Rome City showed up as well. The officers explained the situation as it stood at that moment and advised the victim of options that could be used to ensure continued safety. The obvious caring and concern exhibited by these gentleman was impressive. They comforted and encouraged the victim in a manner that did not leave a doubt in my mind that these gentlemen CARE about their people. They showed strength, caring and determination that all involved would remain safe. Thanks guys! You ROCK!

Thanks for posting!
Too often we ignore the good our police do out there.
Thanks to all the area officers for your continued efforts!
