Anyone buying that the two Republican cadidates don't have time to prepare for a debate before the election? They filed for office back in January.

Apples are good,
Oranges are bad,
Lemons are rude,
Bananas are perverted,
And kumquats are just, plain evil...
I'm not sure how voters can make educated decisions without having the opportunity to see them in a public forum. It's one thing to write up a pretty brochure or letter; it is a completely different story to speak in a public forum. This is critical for the voters to see how the candidates are able to articulate their respective positions.
If the republicans are refusing to participate in a public forum/meet the candidates/debate, maybe they are concerned that the candidates are very strong? I'm surprised that there are so few people commenting on this.
I consider myself a conservative, and an independent. Most would group me with the GOP which really doesn't bother me. For me to assume everyone in the Democratic party, Libertarian, or Republicans, are guilty by association would be wrong, but many do that very thing.
It wouldn't matter to me what party they are in. If they don't have the courage to stand up and fight for what they believe is right, whether I agree with their view or not, they would not get my vote. There have been many times I didn't like either candidate and would not vote for either. I don't believe in voting for the better of two evils. Convince me you are worthy of my vote or you won't get it.
I would agree in this case the GOP candidates are gutless if they can't stand up for what they supposedly believe in. Perhaps it should be mandatory if you are invited to a debate, and you have 3,4, or 6 months advance notice, you either participate or are removed from the ballot.
