Homey, by bringing it up in the same posting as this, he is implying Just that. Some vets having records that are not spotless has nothing to do with this. And yes, I stand by what I said. I would trust a vet, even a dishonorable vet, before I would trust a politician. I remember how easy it is to get a dishonorable discharge having seen many good friends receive one for the stupidity of their officers. And Homey, why support Tater, when you know it equally as well as I, that Rutgers would not have a student with a dishonorable discharge? You people are putting the onus on the vet, not on Christy where it belongs. Who works for whom? Or, am I right, and we are looking at a new ruling class?

By years, or field time? Wait a minute, it doesn't matter if I have more time, or field time, tater never served, therefore, you could have served 5 times as much as me, and I'm still a vet!

I'm not defending Tater, I'm defending what he said. He said that all veterans do not have a spotless record. Is that true or false? As far as if he is implying that this veteran has a less than honorable discharge, you and I don't know. I have to go by what he says, not what I think he is thinking.
I didn't know about it until you did and I can't comment on a pending case!!!!!

You two are quick to defend Overseer Christy's actions, and I'm pretty sure, you weren't there, nor Tater neither. Or, is that just because he is a darling of the right? So, am I right to assume you would take his word over a vet, even if the vet turns out to be decorated?

Here is the full version of the exchange between Christie and Brown. Although you can't hear some of the dialogue from Brown, by Christie's response you can get the gist of the exchange between the two. Also, after hearing Christie say that anyone presently attending Rutgers will get a Rutgers degree I don't see what his problem is.

That is a more complete version of Christie's exchange. I wasn't able to hear hardly anything that Brown was saying. My impression of NJ from the few people I have met from there is that they are pretty much an ' in your face' people when they disagree with you. Go ahead...I expect I will be attacked for that observation, however, it's just that...my personal experience and observation.

I don't believe Christie needed to call Brown an idiot. Could not hear what Brown was saying in the meeting. He seemed pretty calm while talking to the police outside of the meeting. I may be going to visit in NJ this coming summer. Pretty sure I will enjoy my short stay, but, also pretty sure I would never be a good permanent resident.

I was showing that you're statement about trusting the word of any vet over a politician was a bit absured.

If you have such a low view of all politicians why vote for any of them? If you distrust Obama that much, why believe anything he says?

One failing of people these days is they refuse to accept responsibility for their own actions and defend their friends to a fault. There enough check & balances that I doubt all these friends you refer to were discharged under false pretenses.

Never said the guy had a dishonorable discharge. Again, I was responding to a statement you made about them all being more honorable than all politicians. Are you being intentionally obtuse?

What difference does it make? My opinions have just as much weight as yours. Having served in the military doesn't give you any more right to voice your wacky opinions any more than it give me to voice my wacky opinions. We both have equal rights to do so. But I'm not taking your words and twisting them to say things that you're not. So who's more wacky?

Nor you either. Based on your arguement, you're defence of the student makes little more sense than anyone defending Gov. Christie because none of us were there. I think you're doing what many people do today. They don't know all the facts so they fill in the gaps with what they think happened. But usually when people fill in gaps with stuff they make up, they end up creating fiction.

Tater, I've just read through your responses to multiple postings by Blue. Just so you know, I have a deep appreciation for our veterans and their contributions to the needs of our nation. Any of our Veterans who served our nation honorably do receive appreciation and creditably with me. Anyone who served in our Special Forces receives my ultimate appreciation for their service.

Tater, I never served our nation in the armed forces, it seems that you did not either? There is no way I would take away from any veteran the respect they deserve for their service and duty they have given to our nation. I honor all of them for their service. I hope you do also. I believe we all need to be thankful for these fine men and women.

You have obviously never been in a military court before, where officers cannot even be accused of lying. There are not the checks and balances, you do not know what you are talking about!

You have twisted my words from the very first time you posted under a different name, who's lying now?

I am merely pointing out that this governor has absolutely no respect for his constituents. To call a constituent an idiot, in front of a live camera, is unthinkable. All I can say is, The overseer has you all in his pocket, which will eventually be our downfall.

I will put this here because it falls into line with the true rulers. It seems we have been going into villages at night and killing and removing suspected taliban soldiers in Afganistan. I find it ironic that we are doing this, and then one soldier gets labeled a killer by the military? I have seen over my share of fall guys for the U.S. military, particularly non-coms taking the blame for what the officers charged them to do. I doubt that we will ever find out what really happened, or whether sgt. Bales was responsible, or just a scape goat.

How can you suggest being not responsible for killing 9 children? This isn't an act to be defended or belittled in any way.

I hear what you say Army and agree the act is horrible. Yet, I find myself wondering if our military had deployed this man into intense war too frequently and being human, he simply snapped? In civil courts we have a defense for insanity. I have no clue if this exists in military courts?

The political pressure has to be immense to convict him, yet, what if he truly had a mental breakdown and was out of his mind? I hear our government is offering financial compensation to the families of the victims...that is nice...but there is no way most of us could ever be financially compensated for loss of our loved ones. Frankly, I find myself torn with compassion for both the Afghanistan families and also for this soldier if he truly lost his mind due to what he has been through?

Another time I am thankful that this judgment doesn't fall on my shoulders. We have killed Bin Ladin....I feel the sooner we get the heck out of Afghanistan...the better.

Someone, or some people are responsible, I do not believe it is just this one man Sgt, Bales. I am not suggesting anything, I am merely stating that I believe it highly improbable that one man could have done this much damage, and stopped to burn the bodies, without someone interfering. Infer what you will.

Kill 16 people in their homes, 9 of them children, from reports at least 4 of them under the age of 5. Mental breakdown.

Kill one child in this country and you are an animal.

Explain the logic? No don't I don't care about the logic.

Army...I'm pretty sure you recognize that the murder done this past Dec to our little girl,Aliahna Lemmon, in the trailer park outside FW was NOT done by a veteran suffering from multiple tours of duty in intense war zones in the MidEast. How in the heck you can drag her murder or Andrew Brebriert, JFK and MLK into the murders that just occurred in Afghanistan and our soldier who was on his 4th tour of duty in an intense war zone escapes my understanding. I see absolutely NO comparison.

Please feel free to compare these events to me? I will listen to your logic...right now it escapes me. Was our soldier wrong? OF COURSE! Was he functioning under his right mind? I do not know?

Are there stress limitations on even our strongest materials (metals, plastics, geological plates within our earth, etc)? Yes...yet we assume our human soldiers have not stress limitations? How would you feel Army if this was your son or daughter?
