How would you answer that? For one to be an egotist there has to be some level of self absorbtion that doesn't quite justify the persona the person puts outs there. Is it egotistical for perfect being to say He is perfect? We know that people aren't perfect so it's definitely egotistical for one of us to claim perfection.

Not really. If you really think about it, God prefers people who accept him and believe. Whoever they are and whatever their weekensses and failings. If that sign were true, Kind Atheists would go to Heaven and Hateful Christians would go to hell.

How sad, that your Deity would rather have hypocrites following him rather than truly good people. Walking the walk is much more important than talking the talk, and the Christ that I follow does not think highly of hypocrites. I have had this discussion with others that profess their Christianity, and I am usually disappointed. Amazingly enough, the few that hold my perspective are usually Catholic, you know, the ones that can party all they want and then ask for absolution? It seems that they tend to read Christs words more than do others that profess Christianity. Me, I no longer want to be affiliated with Christians, kinda like the old republican party that doesn't exist anymore, I will call myself a follower of Christ, and let all the hate that Paul instills dissipate.

I agree that no humans are "perfect." But that is the nature of the human condition.

If God will reward those that believe in it, and punish eternally those that do not, I would say that God demands "attention." Otherwise, why would such an entity set up this religious model. The religous model that you set forth is why many millions of people reject fundamentalist religions. Thousands of thinkers have written about the irrationality, venality and cruelty of this worldview.

Perhaps, the names he has identified on their membership cards, descriptions and location of their communists deeds, and then for a display of good form, perhaps provide us with his (West) definition of a true communist?
