Since a lot of political themes today have much of their basis in religion, I would like to discuss the religion that has most of this country by the proverbial throat. My take on the differences between the christianities, lie with different approaches to the ministry by Christ, whom the religion is based on, and Paul, who took it in another direction. We can see this schism in the recent coup by the pope taking away the freedom of political clout, of the Conference of American Nuns. The nuns, who have put poverty and social welfare as their number one priority, seem to follow what Christ put forth in his ministry. The pope on the other hand, wants to see gay rights, and abortion dealt with. In many ways, this is similar to the political debate between the right, and the left. What are your thoughts?
