North American Pelicans on Silver Lake

My daughter and I were Kayaking on Silver Lake Last evening about 730 or so and there was a bevy of swans on the West end of the lake as we paddled towards them for a possible photo opt, my daughter points and says "Dad what are those?" and from the north a pod of 14 North American Pelicans landed on the water about 100 yrds in front of our Kayaks. I can not ever recall seeing these birds on our local lakes?
Will try and get a pic posted later today?

NA Pelicans.jpg This is the picture of the NORTH AMERICAN PELICANS that was taken on Silver Lake, the pic did not come out as clear on the p.c. as it did on the phone? We counted 14 in the pod.
