Any Public Events scheduled for this Memorial Day Weekend in Angola? I have not really seen anything posted?

This is from today's Herald Republican:

• Angola: Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, there will be a Memorial Day service at the Steuben County Soldier’s Monument in Angola’s Public Square, Angola American Legion Post 31 Commander Jim Timpe, said. Little Miss Steuben County Katelynn Ritter and Little Mr. Steuben County Cooper Moon will lead the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Angola Mayor Dick Hickman will introduce Robert Newman, Garrett American Legion Post 178 and past American Legion Department commander, who will speak. The Angola Middle School Band will provide music.

The VFW Post 7205 Junior Auxiliary will lay a wreath in honor of all veterans at the Soldier’s Monument.

Jim Hulbert, pastor of Angola Christian Church, will give the benediction.

Yes it should be a very nice weekend Helen, as long as Ol' Mother Nature agrees? It's aways good to spend time with the out of town Family!
