Just in case you haden't heard:
(ANGOLA) - Due to the dry conditions and the extreme heat, the Angola 4th of July fireworks show that was scheduled for Wednesday night at Commons Park has been postponed until August 25th. That will be the same night as a Spike and the Bulldogs concert at the park. Angola Fire Chief Mike Meek said the decision to postpone the show was reached early on Tuesday afternoon after a meeting was held with Mayor Dick Hickman, Police Chief Stu Hamblen and Parks Director Matt Hanna. Meek said the conditions have gotten worse instead of better. He said everybody was hoping some rain would have developed before the show. But the forecast for Wednesday was calling for highs in the 90's and the decision was made to postpone the show until a later date. It's the second fireworks show in Steuben County that has been called off by the dry weather conditions. Hamilton's scheduled fireworks show this Saturday night at Hog Hill has been postponed until further notice.
