    Default 600 year old bras?

The history of women’s under garments is being rewritten after 600 year old bras have been found in an Austrian castle. I had always thought the corset came first. Apparently not?

Then my other assumption that bloomers were worn prior to panties also seems to have been an incomplete understanding of the history of this garment. I had always attributed the saying ‘Who wears the pants in this family’ to the days when women only wore dresses. Now, I discover that only the men wore underpants back in the good ole’ days. Gasp! I understand their need for such long dresses now.

Just goes to show how often "new" inventions are rediscoveries of old ones.
    Apples are good,
    Oranges are bad,
    Lemons are rude,
    Bananas are perverted,
And kumquats are just, plain evil...
