No one said that.
For most of us, "toss him in jail" infers after due process.
The problem is he gets the benefit of being wealthy and having his family and political connections from keeping due process from even starting.
Notice how an out-of-state prosecutor with zero ties to the Kruse political machine had no compunctions in filing charges against him?

No. I'm operating under the assumption that charges won't even get filed in the first place, most especially because of Kruse's ties to the Republican Party.
Ten civil cases filed against him for breach of contract within the last three years. Charges filed against him out of state. The State Board of Auctioneers revoking his license.
All of this, and not even an open investigation against him by the local prosecutor?

Here is a refresher for the charges coming out of Pennsylvania that he is facing. I'm pretty sure if you or I wrote a $198,500 check on a closed account we would not be setting as free as Dean Kruse is at this time.
From the Lebanon Daily News in Pennsylvania:
An Indiana auctioneer has been charged with theft in connection with the sale of three classic muscle cars at a 2009 auction in North Cornwall Township.
Dean V. Kruse, 70, of Auburn, Ind., is accused of writing a bad check in the amount of $198,500 to the seller, Fred Fowler of Lewes, Del.
The cars - a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hemi, a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hemi convertible and a 1968 Shelby GT500e -had a combined reserve price of $285,000. They were consigned to Kruse's company, Kruse International Collector Car Auction, during a transaction on Oct. 8 or 9, 2009, that took place at an auction at the Lebanon Valley Fairgrounds and Expo Center, according a news release issued by the office of the Lebanon County District Attorney.
Kruse allegedly sold the vehicles with Fowler's approval on Oct. 9 for $218,400. After deducting his commission and fees, Kruse issued a check to Fowler in the amount of $198,500.
However, when Fowler deposited the check, he was notified by his bank that it had been drawn on a closed account, according to the criminal complaint.
Fowler made numerous attempts to contact Kruse International in an effort to collect the money. On one occasion, he was told by a company representative that the money owed to him could be used as a credit at a Nov. 2009 auction in Dallas, Texas, according to the criminal complaint.
Fowler traveled to the Dallas auction to meet with Kruse, who told him he would settle the debt after the auction.
Fowler caught Kruse trying to leave at the end of the auction, according to the criminal complaint. Another postdated check in the amount of $50,000 was written to Fowler.
When Fowler attempted to cash that check, he found a stop payment order had been placed on it.
Kruse was arrested on Wednesday by Lebanon County detectives when he appeared in Dauphin County court to face similar charges in a 2008 case. In addition to theft by deception, he was also charged with failure to make required disposition of funds.
He was arraigned at Lebanon County Central Booking by District Judge Maria Dissinger, who released him on his own recognizance.

And that article, dated just eight months ago, makes reference to similar charges against Kruse for writing bad checks a year earlier.
So we have him knowingly writing bad checks off closed accounts (or putting stop payments on partial payment checks to clients) as well as simply not paying his clients after pocketing money from selling their automobiles at auction.
I wonder how many bad checks he's written to Indiana clients?
I wonder if McNaughton is making up a guest room for Kruse at his mansion in New Mexico?

I was waitin, I knew there would be media coverage this week on Dean Kruse. The paper's and the TV just can't keep from doing it.
Here's MY 'parable/anecdote'.....
You know....there's a certain tree service guy around here that years ago gypped me $500 on a stump grinder I sold him. He knew all I could do is take him to small claims and get a piece of paper that said 'I'm right, and he's wrong'....I'd never get my money back no matter what...Totally my own fault for trusting a crook.... I'm a real good sport, but I have to say, if I thought I'd get away with it, on the simple principle of it, I'd randomly disperse his pieces all over the countryside....THEFT/FRAUD- is rape without the mess and inconvenient cleanup.

For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst and provide for it. - Patrick Henry
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
