If you have a Streetrod, Old car or a Race car please come out and show your support and help Chuck out.
To everyone. Hi my name is Amanda and if you know of my father or knew of him Charles(Chuck) Nelson was in a severe motorcycle accident on June 10th, 2012 and he is a vietnam veteran... The VA won't pay for his bill because he should have called within 72 hrs after accident but he couldn't after a broken neck... I am trying to raise money for the bills and I am having a car show this Sunday August 19th, 2012, 10am-5pm at the Rural King Parking lot in Angola, IN and admin. is $12.00 per vehicle of any kind. There will be plaques given out and tickets to be sold for prizes that range from $5.00 to $285.00... Please come out and help my family please...

Maybe because the premiss of the original posting wasn't accurate: If someone is eligible for VA care, they are eligible. Calling within 72 hours has nothing do do with it. The VA has patient advocates who work with issues such as this. It can be a bureaucratic mess getting through the system I'll agree.
