Romney has been well schooled and practiced in his preparation for last evenings debate. His only priority has been to run his campaign, while President Obama has been multi-tasking as President of our nation, dealing with international wars and conflicts while also believing he was preparing for a debate with candidate Romney. President Obama showed up for the 1st debate of this election process prepared to discuss the positions Romney and the Repubs have taken in this election. SURPRISE! Romney decided to change costumes and pretend to be a Democrat last evening (guess he noticed the polls were most favorable in that direction).

Obama simply met a stranger at the debate last evening. How in the He*l Romney and his crew could declare an evening of lying and playing flip flop to be a win is left to their conscious? He obviously showed the world how comfortable he is with selling his soul in exchange for the truth. IF anyone really wishes to have our next President to represent us to be someone who is willing to lie to our nation and to lie to the world on who we are and what we stand for...go right ahead and flush your votes down Romney's toilet. Our President Obama was taken back as much as myself and my family were as we watched how easily Romney shifted everything he has supported in his campaign in 1 swift debate where he played like a bowl of jelly that could not be debated. Romney is nothing more than a greased down snake oil salesman who will lie to whatever audience shows up and do what he wants if he actually gets elected. (God forbid) Obama held the hard line and stuck to the truth in that debate. YES...he should have called Romney down when he was lying...yet...his lies were beyond comprehension....they were that large! It took me until this morning to digest how far from the truth Romney was willing to wander in that debate. Unbelievable and disgraceful on Romney's part.

I have personally doubled down on my vote for Obama. No way do I wish to have a President of our great USA who can stand on stage in front of 60 million citizen viewers and look them in their eyes and lie to them. NO WAY!!

The best commentary I read on the debate is as follows (I'm paraphrasing): No undecided voter at this point is anyone who regularly reads or watches the news. And none of those sort of people are likely to watch the debates.

Even if Romney had actually been "presidential" last night (as opposed to faking it and continuing his lying), it is unlikely to sway anyone who wasn't already voting for him in the first place.

Pretty much any legitimate, respected pundit, even those who hate Obama, concede that he will win re-election (barring any unforeseen, last-minute, game-changing scandal).

Romney ran a lousy campaign while Obama's record has enough successes to outweigh his failures (most of latter being the result of record-setting Republican obstructionism).

We are not giving the rich more money, we are allowing them to keep what they earned. I do have to laugh when they refer Romney as being rich but completely ignore that Obama in his own right is a millionaire and is considered to be rich. I'm not bothered so much about raising taxes but what does bother me is how its going to be spent. If it's used to spend on non-essential programs or increase the size of government and not used to decrease our debt and deficit then I am opposed to any tax increases.

As a business owner I don't know if you hit the threshold of $250,000 but for the sake of the discussion let's suppose that you do. If you are one that will have his taxes increased as a result of Obama's increase in taxes will you increase your prices, eliminate job positions to cover the tax increase, or absorb the increase from your personal profit? I know it would be noble to say you are going to personally absorb the increase but we need to be realistic.

Gas under Bush was at one point over $4 per gallon. I can't help but notice just up the street the gas station offering it at $3.79. If prices have "doubled", shouldn't it be closer to $8 per gallon?

The latest jobs report shows unemployment down to 7.8 in September. And the reason so many are on SNAPS is because the economy is in the crapper due overwhelmingly to Bush and Republican policies of tax cuts for the rich. Thank god for the Democrats who started our social programs or these people would be starving now since the Republicans killed the economy.

Off the top of my head, he said Obama is taking $700+ billion from Medicare patients (when it's actually what's being shaved off what is paid to hospitals and insurance companies who are fine with it because the ACA is reducing uninsured patients).

Or there's the bit about 20 million people "losing insurance" under ACA when that number includes people leaving existing plans for better ones (or that more people than that are without health coverage already).

Granted, you're already convinced to vote for Romney, so you'll just chalk up all the analysis of his habitual, pathological lying as just the "liberal media" going after him.

We've had 3 or 4 Fence Posters say that Romney lies. Just curious, what are those lies?

And yet we still have those fence posters that believe Obama was born in Africa even though that has been proven false time and again, Now they are saying he has more than one social security #, tomorrow they will say he is an alien, not from Africa but alpha centauri. Give me a break, there are those of you who are too afraid to be labled as bigots, but what you are really thinking is black! Why else would you keep looking for a reason to get him out of office? No one is about to take the time to post them all here, so just Google "Romney lies".

Off the top of my head, he said Obama is taking $700+ billion from Medicare patients (when it's actually what's being shaved off what is paid to hospitals and insurance companies who are fine with it because the ACA is reducing uninsured patients).

Or there's the bit about 20 million people "losing insurance" under ACA when that number includes people leaving existing plans for better ones (or that more people than that are without health coverage already).

Granted, you're already convinced to vote for Romney, so you'll just chalk up all the analysis of his habitual, pathological lying as just the "liberal media" going after him.

I decided to take Evil's advice and google Romney lies. Here's the sites that came up first: LBBT/POV, New Statesman, Romney the Liar, Rolling Stone, Daily kos, Mediate, The Daily Beast, ThinkProgress.org, Huffington Post, Crooks and Liars, . I would hardly call them an independent source, without any bias, for reliable news. The closest to an honest source was The Washington Post but it's article was in the Opinions section. It took 6 pages before I ran into a news story from a major news media which was CBS News. However, it was a printed story from The New Republic and it had a disclaimer that the opinions express was solely that of the author.

Again, another unsubstantiated accusation. I don't believe there has any Fence Poster said that they believe Obama was born in Africa. Has it ever occur to you that we may not like his policies and it has nothing to do with the individual.
