There's a new version of the trailer making its way around the Internet - a little viral marketing, I think - with a familiar face toward the end:

The new trailer looks too cool. I'm getting geeked.

I'm just not getting excited about it, and I'm a huge TOS and TNG geek!

So far, it just feels like a cynical attempt to milk the Trek cash cow all over again.

The only reason I'd see it is I'm a huge Simon Pegg fan and am looking forward to seeing his Scotty.

I love Star Trek, If I were a wee bit geekier I just might be a trekkie LOL
I can not wait to see this.
I agree I think hollywood is just milking the cash cow, but what the hey, I love milk, so bring it on!

The new trailer was attached to "Watchmen," which I saw Saturday night, and I realllllllly liked it. Let's face it - I'm pumped about this movie!!!!

Now they're coming out with Star Trek-inspired perfume and cologne.

    Read about it here

They have a Captain Kirk cologne, called "Tiberius," which has warm vanilla, white musk and sandlewood; a cologne called "Red Shirt" (tagline: Because tomorrow may never come) with undertones of leather and gray musk; and a perfume called "Pon Farr."

My only fear is the eye-watering, stomach churning smell of too much Star Trek scent attempting to mask raging b.o. at the next sci-fi convention I attend. *shudder*

I wonder if anyone will come up with a Star Wars-themed cologne called "Wookie"?

I can't help but think it would smell like something from Britney Spears' line of perfume.
