Heather Sutton, 15, of Orland, took her first deer, a 150-pound, seven-point buck on opening day of shotgun season. She shot it from a tree stand she helped build with her father, Brent Sutton. Later, her dad and brother, Trent, each got a deer from the stand. After Heather shot her deer, its tail went down and it ran out of view, falling about 60 yards from where it was hit.
