ANGOLA — The annual Lake James Association fireworks show on July 7 will be viewable from Pokagon State Park’s Potawatomi Inn beach lawn.

The show starts at 10 p.m.

Pokagon visitors are encouraged to come early because the park fills quickly, and to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. A shuttle will run all evening between the inn and various parking lots throughout the park. Limited parking for people with special needs is available near the inn. Flashlights are recommended for those walking back to their cars after the event.

The fireworks will be shot from special barges moored in the middle of the Lake James Lower Basin.

Angola Boy Scouts Troop 125 will sell refreshments during the show.

The standard park entrance fee of $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle applies. Visitors with an annual entrance pass can also use those.
