Fifty-three women attended the Pokagon Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation’s Women in the Outdoors event on June 30 in Steuben County. There were 12 classes offered along with lunch and giveaways, made possible by local donors. A JAKES day for NWTF youth will be held on Sunday at 7018 E. C.R. 300N, Fremont, with registration at 10 a.m. Outdoor activities will be offered for ages 17 and younger through 2 p.m. and a free lunch will be served.
