Trey and Tyler Lovelace celebrated their 12th birthdays with their father Gene Lovelace III of Howe on May 12 by bagging two turkeys at the same time during spring turkey season. Both birds responded to a decoy at the same time, giving the boys simultanious shots. Fall archery season, including crossbows, runs Oct. 1-28 and Dec. 8 through Jan. 5. Firearms may be used in DeKalb, LaGrange and Steuben counties Oct. 17-21.
