“Our great-niece Piper Smith, 9, of Waterloo, caught this 11-inch bluegill out of our pond on Sunday, Aug. 23. Her grandparents, Noel and Sue Smith, had brought Piper and her sister Stockard over for an afternoon of fishing, and we were all surprised that she landed this big gill. It was the first time for them to fish out of our pond and for her to catch such a big fish.”
