The view across Little Gentian Lake at Wing Haven Nature Preserve is serene with a coating of fresh white snow. Shane Perfect, caretaker at Wing Haven Nature Preserve, will hold an open house at the ACRES Land Trust property, 180 W. C.R. 400N, on Sunday, Feb. 16, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A wood burner will warm the 100-year-old log studio, once used as a art studio by the late Helen Swenson, whose family donated the preserve to ACRES. Refreshments will be available and can be brought to share.
