Josh Eddy, 11, of Butler, got his first deer during the youth season. It was a five-pointer and weighed 162 pounds dressed out. He shot it with a 20 gauge shotgun at 75 yards, and it dropped immediately. Josh is the son of Allen and Tara Eddy.
The buck was arrowed by Kevin Hoffelder of Wolcottville. The eight-point, 195-pound buck was killed Oct. 27 in Steuben County. It was donated to Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry. Hoffelder donates one deer a year to the organization. Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry can be reached at 541-0365.
