Brighton, Emma, Honeyville, Mongo, Ontario, Stroh, South Milford, and
Valentine are all unincorporated communities in LaGrange County.
Brighton is in Greenfield Township, Emma is in Clay Township, Honeyville
is in Eden Township, Mongo is in Springfield Township, Ontario is in Lima
Township, and Stroh and South Milford are in Milford Township.
The trustees of those respective townships are responsible for poor relief
and property assessment.
Police protection is provided by the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department
and the Topeka Police Department.
Students from Brighton and Ontario attend schools in the Lakeland school
system. Mongo, Stroh and South Milford students are taken in by the Prairie
Heights school system. Students from Emma and Honeyville attend the Westview
school district.
Mongo, Stroh and South Milford have post offices.
