Does Parkview Noble Hospital have a physician working in the ER?

Parkview Noble’s Hospital Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days per week with physicians that specialize in Emergency Medicine. The Emergency Department also provides coverage with
registered nurses that are trained in Advanced Adult and Pediatric Life Support.

Can I be seen in the Emergency Department even though I do not have insurance?

Federal Law requires that a physician must medically screen anyone who presents themselves in the Emergency Department with a medical condition. Your medical condition will be treated in the same way as an insured patient.

How long will I have to wait to see the physician?

Upon your arrival to the emergency department, a nurse will screen you. If your condition is life threatening you will be taken to a room immediately. If your medical condition is not immediately life threatening the admitting paperwork will be completed by the registrar. You will be called back to the treatment area based on your condition and room availability.

What do I need to bring to the Emergency
Department?

What is a Minor Consent form?

A Minor Consent is a form which states that anyone who brings a minor in need of medical attention into the Emergency Department and is not that minor’s parent or guardian has permission to get the minor screened by a physician. If you do not have a Minor Consent form filled out already all you will have to have is a note from the minor’s parent or guardian.

Parkview Noble Hospital has Minor Consent forms for your convenience if you are
anticipating a trip out of town and your minor child will have to stay with friends or family. Just stop by the hospital information desk and pick one up. If the minor has a life threatening medical condition and no consent form has been filled out, the hospital will call the minor’s
parent/guardian or grandparents.

Health insurance helps pay doctor bills. It greatly reduces the cost of doctor visits. Some health insurance plans include prescriptions, eyeglasses and dental coverage.
